An Image Gallery

Berylium takes images very seriously. In fact, a complete media subserver is included that does nothing but compress and cache alternate versions of your images (and audio and video).

That means when you upload a big 6 megapixel image from your digital camera, a web-sized version and a thumbnail are automatically created from it, without touching the original image. Instead of downloading 300KB per image, your viewers are only downloading 30KB, unless they want the full-size version.

The previous version of Berylium included the ability to rotate and crop images online, which is being ported to Berylium2 right now.
